Nikola Jokic Fight With Jaden McDaniels Sparks Heated Brawl in Nuggets vs Timberwolves Game 4

Tensions erupted late in Game 4 between the Nikola Jokić-led Denver Nuggets and the Minnesota Timberwolves after a controversial final-seconds basket by Jaden McDaniels triggered a heated confrontation.

With just 1.6 seconds left, McDaniels attempted a last-second layup while the clock was still running, even as several players appeared to stop competing. The play did not sit well with Jokic, who confronted McDaniels immediately after the basket, sparking a brief brawl on the court.

The altercation escalated when Julius Randle stepped in to defend McDaniels and aggressively challenged Jokic. Officials responded by ejecting both Jokic and Randle for unsportsmanlike conduct.

After the game, McDaniels explained why he took the shot, saying the decision was simple because the game clock had not expired.

“Clock still be running, so I’m going to go score,” McDaniels told reporters.

When asked what Jokic said during the confrontation, McDaniels added:

“I don’t know what he said, to be honest. I just seen someone who was big as hell.”

The incident added even more drama to an already intense first-round playoff series. McDaniels has consistently been at the center of the rivalry, especially after recently going viral for calling Jokic and several Denver players “bad defenders.”

With the Timberwolves now holding a commanding 3-1 series lead, Minnesota heads into Game 5 with a chance to eliminate Denver and end the Nuggets’ season.

The Nikola Jokic fight with McDaniels quickly became one of the biggest talking points of the NBA playoffs, adding another chapter to a growing postseason rivalry between the Nuggets and Timberwolves.
