Isaiah Stewart, Three Others Ejected After Violent Brawl Erupts in Pistons vs. Hornets Game
Chaos broke out during Monday night’s matchup between the Detroit Pistons and Charlotte Hornets, resulting in the ejections of Isaiah Stewart, Jalen Duren, Miles Bridges, and Moussa Diabate after a heated on-court fight.
The incident occurred with 7:09 remaining in the third quarter when Hornets forward Moussa Diabate committed a hard foul on Pistons center Jalen Duren. The confrontation quickly escalated as the two players went face-to-face, prompting Duren to shove Diabate with his right hand. Tensions immediately boiled over, forcing players and coaching staff from both teams to rush onto the court.

While Hornets staff attempted to restrain Diabate, Miles Bridges continued to confront Duren near the Pistons bench. Moments later, Isaiah Stewart charged in from the bench and aggressively attacked Bridges, throwing multiple punches before being restrained.
Pistons star Cade Cunningham and several Detroit staff members intervened to pull Stewart away and prevent the situation from worsening. The altercation caused a lengthy delay as officials worked to restore order.

All four players involved were assessed fighting fouls and received automatic ejections. At the time of the incident, the Pistons held a 70–62 lead over the Hornets.
Given the severity of the altercation—particularly Stewart leaving the bench to join the fight—the NBA is expected to issue significant suspensions and fines following a league office review.
